Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Walton-on-Thames CC. We wanted to share a message from our President, Brian Turner and a few photos from the evening for those that couldn’t be there.
Dear Members & Friends
2023 marks another memorable milestone in the long history of our great Club as we celebrate our 125th anniversary. With our picturesque Ashley Park ground, pavilion and thriving membership, we can justifiably place ourselves as one of Surrey’s leading clubs.
Over the years we have valued the contributions of our members, supporters and volunteers who together have guided us through both triumphs and disasters. We have survived two World Wars, an arson attack that destroyed our pavilion and have built a successful Club, stronger now than it has ever been. Four successful league and cup teams, Sunday cricket, Seniors, 20/20 and social cricket, a thriving junior section and competitive women’s cricket and softball teams for seniors and girls.
I recall with great pleasure our 100th anniversary dinner here at The Hilton Cobham, another marvellous celebration. This evening, I regret I cannot share your celebrations but know you will enjoy and honour the occasion in the very best traditions of our Club.
