Launched in 2020 by then 1st XI captain Dan Roberts, The Smash is Walton’s inter club tournament.

Four teams: Ashley Park Panthers. Silverdale Swans, Thames Turtles and Walton Bridge Badgers compete in 15-over matches throughout the season, before one is crowned Champions on Finals Day.

Since its inception, The Smash has been a welcome chance for players across the club to connect. This can include inter club rivals who don’t get the chance to compete against each other for real, new players to integrate into the club or for 4s and 5s players to see if the 1s players are worth the hype. It’s also a chance for other members and friends to meet in one place when we are not spread across various grounds and parks in Surrey.
