The Pens

Walton run one of the biggest women’s sections in the area, and are always looking for new players to get involved. The club offers coach-led training sessions every Wednesday throughout the year (indoors from October to March) and competitive matches across cricket and incrediball formats. No experience is necessary, and kit is provided.

Formats

Smash IT Indoors: An indoor, six-a-side pairs competition. Run by Surrey Cricket, the format is played at various indoor festivals on Sunday evenings in February and March.

Smash IT League: 8-a-side pairs cricket. An incrediball is used, meaning no equipment is required. Festivals take place throughout the summer season.

Surrey Women’s Cricket League: Walton compete in the Championship of the Surrey Women’s Cricket League, which provides competitive cricket on a Sunday and is a good opportunity to play the longer-format. Kit is provided. The competition runs from May to September.

Surrey Slam: The perfect weekday evening, pink ball cricket. The 16-over a side format means matches take between two and three hours. The Slam is a great introduction to shorter competitive cricket. This competition also runs from May to September.
