In recognition and appreciation of Brian’s outstanding contribution and commitment to the club over nearly 50 years, the pavilion was dedicated and named after him on 18th June at the club’s President’s Day. Brian joined the club in 1974 and has since been an active player, as well as holding numerous roles including Head of Ground, Head of Juniors, Chairman and in recent years, President. In particular, Brian was instrumental in the design and development of the club’s pavilion after the previous one was destroyed by fire in 1998. The Brian Turner Pavilion is a very fitting recognition of all his work over many years.
