Dear Club Members,
We are excited to announce that the club will be holding an Online Silent Auction to raise funds for the refurbishment and improvement of our net facilities at Ashley Park. The main nets were installed in 2009 and need resurfacing and renovation work to bring them up to a standard now seen at other clubs while the two ‘public’ nets next door badly need replacing. This work will give all of our Mens, Womens, and Junior teams 4 high quality net lanes to use for many years to come.
The auction is run entirely online and is done on a ‘sealed bid’ basis – you bid what you think the prize is worth without seeing what others have bid! The club will partner with an external provider (D&G group) who will provide a range of prizes, including dining experiences, live sports tickets, memorabilia, and sports coaching.
The auction will run for a few weeks in May/June and there is no upfront cost for the club, so it’s really in our own hands as to how much we can raise. We’re aiming to beat the ~5k raised by Esher and Sunbury in their recent auctions (see links to their sites below)
To make this auction a success, we need your help! We would love to get an additional 5-10 prizes for the auction donated by club members, parents, or friends. If you think you can help with this, please get in touch with Liam Desai either via email (liamdesai1@gmail.com) or phone (07772 098 364).
To participate in the auction, simply visit the website (link to be shared soon) during the auction dates and place your bid. Winners will be determined after the auction closes, and prizes will be distributed accordingly.
