Walton-on-Thames CC is a friendly and ambitious cricket club, established in 1898 and based at one of Surrey's most attractive grounds: Ashley Park.
There are few more picturesque places to play cricket and the club is committed to developing at all levels, as a club in the local community. Walton currently has around 400 members, and fields four senior XIs in Saturday league cricket in the AJ Fordham Surrey Championship, as well as one Surrey Trust League side which plays on a Sunday and focusses on integrating junior products into adult cricket. Walton also runs The Smash, an internal 15-over competition that aims to build further links between the senior and junior teams.
There are also opportunities for older players to take part – the Walton Wolves, our Over 40s team, compete in the Surrey Slam, a regional T20 competition.
The club runs a very successful junior section, which currently comprises around 200 playing juniors. Walton offers cricket coaching delivered by ECB level 2 and level 3 qualified coaches for children of all ages, running coaching sessions for children aged between five and 11 on Sunday mornings, 12-15 year-old boys on weekday evenings, all the way through to older teenagers who are ready to move into the men's game.
We are also committed to further developing our girls' section and we run a specialist girls’ session on a Sunday morning, with some members playing for our Senior Women’s team: the Pens.
For more information about our junior section and how your child can join as a member, please visit our Junior Membership page.
We welcome new adult members of all ages and abilities to play in one of our four Saturday XIs. If you are interested in joining Walton, please visit our contact page.
